kayla Law, MSc Candidate

Kayla is a graduate assistant working in the Gomez Lab while she completes her Master’s degree in Animal Science. She obtained her BS in Microbiology during her undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota, with minors in Marine Biology and Animal Science. She has always been extremely interested in animal nutrition. Her professional experience includes a wildlife rehabilitation center, an animal shelter, and an internship at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory during her undergraduate studies. Kayla’s main research interests include animal microbiome studies and the relationships between gastrointestinal microbiome community composition and overall health.
