Mouth Microbiome

dina moussa, BChD, MDS, PhD

Dina is an endodontist by training and a NIDCR postdoctoral fellow in the Minnesota Craniofacial Research Training (MinnCResT) Program at the School of Dentistry, University of Minnesota. Dina is interested in studying the dental caries and during her PhD, she focused on research in prevention to develop new strategies to resist recurrent carious lesions. Currently, Dina is integrating advanced bioimaging, metagenomics, and metabolomics to study the etiology of dental caries through tracking how carious lesions and supragingival plaque microbiota reciprocally influence each other at the disease onset and after the disease progression.
